Black Canvas Project. Try something different!

Although I call it the black canvas painting it doesn't have to be canvas. It works just like any painting surface, like paper or canvas panels. It's effortless to do. Just paint the entire surface of the painting with black acrylic paint. Well, at least I didn't go down without explaining myself first, but it was amusing. Then what? Usually, it would be best if you colored in the center head, shadow and then highlight the objects in your painting. However, with this technique, you already have the shadows. In this case, you are only highlighting the middle tones and highlights.

You may need to apply a little darker paint than usual, depending on the style of painting. It is helpful for painting pictures like sunrise/sunset, which has a lot of shade. It's also great for stormy photos.
Abstract
This technique works well with abstract-style paintings. This is especially effective when you want to add some metallic paint. The black background reflects the metallic colors and makes them more vibrant. What about adding an acrylic medium? If you have an acrylic medium that paints a metallic effect, you can create various metallic colors. I have a sleep interference medium that works well. For a more subtle look, you can try Percent Tinting Medium, which is my favorite at the moment.
When you use a medium, you still get the color but with a metallic effect. Metallic colors, such as gold and silver, look like metal. Your choice will depend on the outcome you want to achieve. The next time you try to paint something, it will be different to look at black paint!
